VR Interactive Literary Experience

A VR-based interactive reading project adapted from Chinese and international literary works, combining immersive storytelling, reasoning-driven interaction, and experiential learning.

This project is a VR-based interactive literary reading experience adapted from both Chinese and international literature. It explores how immersive environments and embodied interaction can transform traditional reading into an experiential and reasoning-oriented narrative form.

The system was designed and developed as a public-facing VR experience, covering full system architecture, narrative structure, and interaction design. It has been exhibited at multiple venues, including science museums and VR conferences, as an educational and cultural demonstration project.

At the beginning of the experience, users enter a panoramic virtual world where ancient mythical creatures move freely through surreal environments. A custom-built head-tracking interaction system allows users to select storylines through natural head movement. After selection, users engage in immersive narrative scenarios such as 360-degree theatrical scenes, mythical creature riding, underwater exploration, environmental interaction, and open-ended spatial exploration, emphasizing narrative logic and experiential learning rather than passive observation.
